Our Commercial Window Tinting Process
Step 1
Professional Window Film Consultation
Schedule a professional consultation with a window film expert and once the window film has been selected, the installation process can begin. A date is selected at which time installers will arrive on site with all materials and tools required for a complete installation.
Step 2
Work Area Preparation
The window film installation process is straightforward. The first concern of the installer will be window accessibility. The windows may be floor level with no obstructions, have blinds, or draperies that require remove, have furnishing in front of them which may need to be temporarily moved or a ladder may be necessary due to height. Once accessibility to the windows are gained, the installation may begin.
Step 3
Window Cleaning
The initial setup of the window film installation is the cleaning of the glass surface. The installer will either razor clean or scrub clean the glass to be filmed. After the glass is properly cleaned, a final squeegee will ensure the glass is free of contaminants. The installer may then towel dry the edges of the glass with a lint free cloth as a final preparation prior to the film installation.
Step 4
Window Film Installation
The next step of the process is the installation of the window film. The film is pre-cut slightly larger than the glass surface area. The glass surface is then saturated with a non-toxic slip solution. The film’s liner is removed and the film is placed on the glass surface and trimmed to the exact size. The window film is then thoroughly squeegeed removed most of the slip solution. The slip solution run-off is contained by drop clothes set beneath the working area.
Step 5
Window Film Polishing & Wrap-Up
Finally, the installer will perform a thorough polishing of the installed film. Once completed, the installer will gather their tools and supplies, rearrange the room if necessary, and leave the area where the installation occurred in the same condition as when the installer arrived.
